In the fifth episode of the About Admissions podcast, AdmitHub co-founders Kirk Daulerio and Andrew Magliozzi are joined by guest co-host Clare Norton, who's the Director of Recruitment for the City University of New York (CUNY).
Clare helps students achieve their college dreams across the five boroughs of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens and Staten Island, at 24 CUNY institutions that collectively offer 1,750 different programs of study to thousands of students from all over the world. Clare debates with the guys about which musician has the best song about New York. Is it Frank Sinatra, Taylor Swift, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys ... ?
Kirk, Drew and Clare also take a call from Gaby, who's a high school junior from Orlando, Florida, and doesn't where to begin as she enters the college search process. She wants to study modern literature or zoology/veterinary studies. She's leaning toward staying close to home to go to college in a big city but is open to considering other states, so the gang helps her brainstorm a list of schools beyond the University of Central Florida and the University of Miami.
